Kinesiology means the “study of movement,” but in a therapeutic context, it becomes much richer; a fusion of ancient Eastern healing principles and modern Western insights into anatomy and physiology.
Kinesiology acts as a conversation with the body, tapping into its innate intelligence, which often knows what it requires to restore balance and well-being.
Through the mind-body connection, kinesiology unlocks this vital information. Using gentle muscle monitoring as biofeedback, kinesiology identifies stress or imbalances affecting the body. A variety of balancing techniques is then applied to support the body’s natural ability to regulate itself.
At Folk n Fable, I practise Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology (EMK), a remedy-based form of kinesiology that addresses emotional stress, fear, trauma, and subconscious belief patterns held within the body and its energy systems, ultimately enhancing physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

A kinesiology session begins with a short intake where we discuss your current concerns and clarify what you would like to work on.
Using gentle muscle monitoring as biofeedback, the body is asked a series of questions to identify underlying stress patterns or imbalances. Muscle responses can highlight connections between emotions, beliefs, physical symptoms, and subconscious stress.
Once the source of stress is identified, specific remedies and balancing techniques are used to help restore balance. These may include acupressure points, emotional processing, energetic balancing, or other body-based techniques tailored to your system.imbalances. Muscle responses can reveal connections between emotions, beliefs, physical symptoms, and subconscious stress held in the body.
Based on this feedback, a range of remedies and balancing techniques may be used to help release stress and restore balance. These may include acupressure points, emotional processing, energetic balancing, or other body-based techniques selected specifically for your system.
Sessions are collaborative, respectful, and paced to support your body’s natural capacity for regulation and healing.
